Devotion to Jesus.


I know I haven't written in here lately, I have been busy and just not too inspired. I was reading through some of my blogs that I follow and came upon this well-written article that I really must share. It is my heart's desire and helped to affirm and put into perspective what I've been mulling over recently. The first line of the article is
Oswald Chambers asks, “Are you more devoted to your idea of what Jesus wants than to Himself?”

I read that and realized sadly, too often I want to follow what I think Jesus wants in my life. Rather, I need to spend my energy and time following HIM and getting to know HIM.

    Amen! Wow, that sums it up well. We've had several discussion with people, trying to express this concept, but almost always ending up expressing it wrong, and being misunderstood.

    Our lives aren't meant to be about pleasing God or serving God, but just about letting His life flow through us... which results in God being pleased and served.
